    Declining Enrollment

《神學研究系列》

Over the last 7 years, nearly 400 students have left the public schools of Santa Barbara. This is becoming increasingly frequent across California. This is expected to continue, because the average price for a house is more than $1 million. Housing is too expensive for most people.
The decline in students is causing California School Districts millions, because enrollment is tied to funding. For many young families housing is too expensive. This is the main problem. This is creating worries throughout California, because if no one is enrolling, then no one is buying houses, and the money that comes from houses is for teacher’s salaries. With no students and no money to pay teachers, they are considering closing down campuses, though they hope to use this as a last resort.
California should use this as a reason to lower the price of housing for the sake of education. This may be the only way to increase enrollment.
