FECA's Relief and Development Ministry was established in response to the multi-faceted needs of the poor and needy in China. In 1999, FECA sent its first medical and educational short-term teams to China. Our desire is to assist the poor and needy beyond the borders of the United States in response to natural or manmade disasters ("relief") and to help the poor and needy help themselves ("development"). Our motivation is to share our resources with the poor and needy as an expression of the love of Christ for the glory of God.
Our vision is based on Isaiah 65:21-22: “They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit... my chosen ones will long enjoy the works of their hands” (NIV).
What is Social Concern? Becoming the voice of our heavenly Father to proclaim His love and justice. Having the heart of Jesus while serving the needy. Becoming the hands of the Holy Spirit to empower the powerless.
