Chengdu ranked second among China's deputy-provincial cities in terms of both the total retail sales of consumer goods and growth rate. In 2017, its volume of retail sales reached RMB560.95 billion, up 11.4% compared with a year earlier. And its revenue from the catering sector was RMB79.40 billion, rising by 12.4% year on year.
The total retail sales of consumer goods of the city's Jinjiang, Wuhou and Qingyang districts amounted to RMB95.63 billion, RMB89.25 billion and RMB85.60 billion respectively, topping Chengdu's all districts (cities) and counties.
