Many faiths are asking for school holidays. They ask this so that many students do not have to choose between faith and school. One girl had her midterms fall on a very important religious holiday.

Schools are finding it hard to give holidays for purely religious reasons, but some are trying it out. But, some districts have already found it too rash to give school wide holidays for students. It raised too many complaints. Many other parents of different were complaining that their kids still had to go, and why didn’t they get any holidays for their religion and etc. New York City schools let students be excused if they have a proper note from a parent explaining the holiday and with proper permission. Religion must now be honored.

These holidays used to make students choose between school and faith. Now they don’t have to.
