19:1 | [NASB] Pilate then took Jesus and scourged Him. |
19:2 | [NASB] And the soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and put a purple robe on Him; |
19:3 | [NASB] and they {began} to come up to Him and say, "Hail, King of the Jews!" and to give Him slaps {in the face.} |
19:4 | [NASB] Pilate came out again and *said to them, "Behold, I am bringing Him out to you so that you may know that I find no guilt in Him." |
19:5 | [NASB] Jesus then came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. {Pilate} *said to them, "Behold, the Man!" |
19:6 | [NASB] So when the chief priests and the officers saw Him, they cried out saying, "Crucify, crucify!" Pilate *said to them, "Take Him yourselves and crucify Him, for I find no guilt in Him." |
19:7 | [NASB] The Jews answered him, "We have a law, and by that law He ought to die because He made Himself out {to} {be} the Son of God." |
19:8 | [NASB] Therefore when Pilate heard this statement, he was {even} more afraid; |
19:9 | [NASB] and he entered into the Praetorium again and *said to Jesus, "Where are You from?" But Jesus gave him no answer. |
19:10 | [NASB] So Pilate *said to Him, "You do not speak to me? Do You not know that I have authority to release You, and I have authority to crucify You?" |
19:11 | [NASB] Jesus answered, "You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason he who delivered Me to you has {the} greater sin." |
19:12 | [NASB] As a result of this Pilate made efforts to release Him, but the Jews cried out saying, "If you release this Man, you are no friend of Caesar; everyone who makes himself out {to be} a king opposes Caesar." |
C¿q³Q°v¤Q¦r¬[ |
19:13 | [NASB] Therefore when Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus out, and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called The Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha. |
19:14 | [NASB] Now it was the day of preparation for the Passover; it was about the sixth hour. And he *said to the Jews, "Behold, your King!" |
19:15 | [NASB] So they cried out, "Away with {Him,} away with {Him,} crucify Him!" Pilate *said to them, "Shall I crucify your King?" The chief priests answered, "We have no king but Caesar." |
19:16 | [NASB] So he then handed Him over to them to be crucified. |
19:17 | [NASB] They took Jesus, therefore, and He went out, bearing His own cross, to the place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha. |
19:18 | [NASB] There they crucified Him, and with Him two other men, one on either side, and Jesus in between. |
19:19 | [NASB] Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It was written, "JESUS THE NAZARENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS." |
19:20 | [NASB] Therefore many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Latin {and} in Greek. |
19:21 | [NASB] So the chief priests of the Jews were saying to Pilate, "Do not write, 'The King of the Jews'; but that He said, 'I am King of the Jews.'" |
19:22 | [NASB] Pilate answered, "What I have written I have written." |
19:23 | [NASB] Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His outer garments and made four parts, a part to every soldier and {also} the tunic; now the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece. |
19:24 | [NASB] So they said to one another, "Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, {to decide} whose it shall be"; {this was} to fulfill the Scripture: "THEY DIVIDED MY OUTER GARMENTS AMONG THEM, AND FOR MY CLOTHING THEY CAST LOTS." |
19:25 | [NASB] Therefore the soldiers did these things. But standing by the cross of Jesus were His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the {wife} of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. |
19:26 | [NASB] When Jesus then saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He *said to His mother, "Woman, behold, your son!" |
19:27 | [NASB] Then He *said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" From that hour the disciple took her into his own {household.} |
C¿q¦º®Éªº±¡§Î |
19:28 | [NASB] After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, to fulfill the Scripture, *said, "I am thirsty." |
19:29 | [NASB] A jar full of sour wine was standing there; so they put a sponge full of the sour wine upon {a branch} {of} hyssop and brought it up to His mouth. |
19:30 | [NASB] Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. |
19:31 | [NASB] Then the Jews, because it was the day of preparation, so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and {that} they might be taken away. |
19:32 | [NASB] So the soldiers came, and broke the legs of the first man and of the other who was crucified with Him; |
19:33 | [NASB] but coming to Jesus, when they saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. |
19:34 | [NASB] But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. |
19:35 | [NASB] And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe. |
19:36 | [NASB] For these things came to pass to fulfill the Scripture, "NOT A BONE OF HIM SHALL BE BROKEN." |
19:37 | [NASB] And again another Scripture says, "THEY SHALL LOOK ON HIM WHOM THEY PIERCED." |
C¿q³Q¦w¸®¦b·s¼X¹ÓùØ |
19:38 | [NASB] After these things Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but a secret {one} for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate granted permission. So he came and took away His body. |
19:39 | [NASB] Nicodemus, who had first come to Him by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds {weight.} |
19:40 | [NASB] So they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen wrappings with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews. |
19:41 | [NASB] Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. |
19:42 | [NASB] Therefore because of the Jewish day of preparation, since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there. |
C¿q´_¬¡ |
20:1 | [NASB] Now on the first {day} of the week Mary Magdalene *came early to the tomb, while it *was still dark, and *saw the stone {already} taken away from the tomb. |
20:2 | [NASB] So she *ran and *came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and *said to them, "They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him." |
20:3 | [NASB] So Peter and the other disciple went forth, and they were going to the tomb. |
20:4 | [NASB] The two were running together; and the other disciple ran ahead faster than Peter and came to the tomb first; |
20:5 | [NASB] and stooping and looking in, he *saw the linen wrappings lying {there;} but he did not go in. |
20:6 | [NASB] And so Simon Peter also *came, following him, and entered the tomb; and he *saw the linen wrappings lying {there,} |
20:7 | [NASB] and the face-cloth which had been on His head, not lying with the linen wrappings, but rolled up in a place by itself. |
20:8 | [NASB] So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. |
20:9 | [NASB] For as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. |
20:10 | [NASB] So the disciples went away again to their own homes. |
C¿q¦V©Ù¤j©Ôªº°¨§Q¨ÈÅã²{ |
20:11 | [NASB] But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb; |
20:12 | [NASB] and she *saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been lying. |
20:13 | [NASB] And they *said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She *said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him." |
20:14 | [NASB] When she had said this, she turned around and *saw Jesus standing {there,} and did not know that it was Jesus. |
20:15 | [NASB] Jesus *said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?" Supposing Him to be the gardener, she *said to Him, "Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have laid Him, and I will take Him away." |
20:16 | [NASB] Jesus *said to her, "Mary!" She turned and *said to Him in Hebrew, "Rabboni!" (which means, Teacher). |
20:17 | [NASB] Jesus *said to her, "Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.'" |
20:18 | [NASB] Mary Magdalene *came, announcing to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord," and {that} He had said these things to her. |
C¿q¦Vªù®{ÌÅã²{ |
20:19 | [NASB] So when it was evening on that day, the first {day} of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and *said to them, "Peace {be} with you." |
20:20 | [NASB] And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then rejoiced when they saw the Lord. |
20:21 | [NASB] So Jesus said to them again, "Peace {be} with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you." |
20:22 | [NASB] And when He had said this, He breathed on them and *said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. |
20:23 | [NASB] "If you forgive the sins of any, {their sins} have been forgiven them; if you retain the {sins} of any, they have been retained." |
C¿q¦V¦h°¨Åã²{ |
20:24 | [NASB] But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. |
20:25 | [NASB] So the other disciples were saying to him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe." |
20:26 | [NASB] After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus *came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, "Peace {be} with you." |
20:27 | [NASB] Then He *said to Thomas, "Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing." |
20:28 | [NASB] Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!" |
20:29 | [NASB] Jesus *said to him, "Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed {are} they who did not see, and {yet} believed." |
¥»®Ñªº¥Øªº |
20:30 | [NASB] Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; |
20:31 | [NASB] but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name. |
C¿q¦b´£¤ñù¨È®üÃä¦V¤CÓªù®{Åã²{ |
21:1 | [NASB] After these things Jesus manifested Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and He manifested {Himself} in this way. |
21:2 | [NASB] Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the {sons} of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together. |
21:3 | [NASB] Simon Peter *said to them, "I am going fishing." They *said to him, "We will also come with you." They went out and got into the boat; and that night they caught nothing. |
21:4 | [NASB] But when the day was now breaking, Jesus stood on the beach; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. |
21:5 | [NASB] So Jesus *said to them, "Children, you do not have any fish, do you?" They answered Him, "No." |
21:6 | [NASB] And He said to them, "Cast the net on the right-hand side of the boat and you will find {a catch.}" So they cast, and then they were not able to haul it in because of the great number of fish. |
21:7 | [NASB] Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved *said to Peter, "It is the Lord." So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put his outer garment on (for he was stripped {for work}), and threw himself into the sea. |
21:8 | [NASB] But the other disciples came in the little boat, for they were not far from the land, but about one hundred yards away, dragging the net {full} of fish. |
21:9 | [NASB] So when they got out on the land, they *saw a charcoal fire {already} laid and fish placed on it, and bread. |
21:10 | [NASB] Jesus *said to them, "Bring some of the fish which you have now caught." |
21:11 | [NASB] Simon Peter went up and drew the net to land, full of large fish, a hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not torn. |
21:12 | [NASB] Jesus *said to them, "Come {and} have breakfast." None of the disciples ventured to question Him, "Who are You?" knowing that it was the Lord. |
21:13 | [NASB] Jesus *came and *took the bread and *gave {it} to them, and the fish likewise. |
21:14 | [NASB] This is now the third time that Jesus was manifested to the disciples, after He was raised from the dead. |
C¿q¬d°Ý©¼±o·R¥Dªº¤ß |
21:15 | [NASB] So when they had finished breakfast, Jesus *said to Simon Peter, "Simon, {son} of John, do you love Me more than these?" He *said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He *said to him, "Tend My lambs." |
21:16 | [NASB] He *said to him again a second time, "Simon, {son} of John, do you love Me?" He *said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He *said to him, "Shepherd My sheep." |
21:17 | [NASB] He *said to him the third time, "Simon, {son} of John, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus *said to him, "Tend My sheep. |
21:18 | [NASB] "Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to gird yourself and walk wherever you wished; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will gird you, and bring you where you do not wish to {go.}" |
21:19 | [NASB] Now this He said, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He *said to him, "Follow Me!" |
½×C¿q©Ò·Rªº¨ºªù®{ |
21:20 | [NASB] Peter, turning around, *saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following {them;} the one who also had leaned back on His bosom at the supper and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?" |
21:21 | [NASB] So Peter seeing him *said to Jesus, "Lord, and what about this man?" |
21:22 | [NASB] Jesus *said to him, "If I want him to remain until I come, what {is that} to you? You follow Me!" |
21:23 | [NASB] Therefore this saying went out among the brethren that that disciple would not die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but {only,} "If I want him to remain until I come, what {is that} to you?" |
21:24 | [NASB] This is the disciple who is testifying to these things and wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true. |
21:25 | [NASB] And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they *were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself *would not contain the books that *would be written. |
